Thin Boiled Corn Starch

#
Modified Starch

It is modified starch to be used for sizing of yarn along with other ingredients in the sizing process. It is especially suitable for cotton and polyester cotton blends yarns.

It also provides more penetration giving a better anchorage to starch film reducing flaking or "droppings". It also provides protection to yarn to meet friction and tension by giving uniform size penetration without developing abrasive points even on over-drying.

It ensures maximum efficiency of sizing for yarn.

Benefits

Below mentioned are some benefits of using Thin boiled corn starch.

  • Due to the low viscosity ensures uniform pick up and better penetration.
  • Very negligible variation in viscosity on boiling, which results in uniform size from beam to beam on high speed modern sizing machines
  • Does not develop abrasive points on over-dying
  • Provides flexible film and gives the yarn the desired elasticity
  • Size provides a much better balance of surface coating and penetration, which ensures effective binding and reduces the droppings considerably in the loom-shed
  • Compatible with all the ingredients used in sizing i.e. humectant, lubricant, gums, synthetic sizes, etc.
  • Can be easily removed during textile wet- processing by traditional de-sizing process
